Father's Day 2013

Obviously Kendall and I have a lot of fun together.

A lot.

We are able to do crazy fun stuff because of Danny.

He doesn't get the credit he deserves... without his hard work and sacrifice, Kendall and I wouldn't be having nearly as much fun as we do every day.  

Everything we are able to do, from swim lessons, to swimming at the pool, our Starbucks treats, going to the movies, and even hanging at home having dance parties are all because of him =]

We love you Daddy!!!

Let the Disneyland countdown BEGIN!! 44 days...

We got Kendall her first set of golf clubs... Can't wait to go play a round with her!

We had our first visitors of the year with Gramma Shaw, Papa Bud and Lily!!!

We had days full of fun, games, laughter, bowling, and fireworks!!

Again, had a great time with the family and made some really great memories!!

July 2-14, 2013

Dinner at one of our favorite places, Fox & Hound

So after dinner at the Fox & Hound, we came home and the girls wanted to ride scooters.

We've got a fire hydrant in front of our home, and Kendall fell on it scraping her forehead and nose.

After cleaning it up a little bit, we decided to take her to the ER.

Poor lil thing... She was so brave throughout the whole process.

As usual, I documented the whole thing ;]

In Colorado, the weather changes in the blink of an eye.  Sometimes with little warning.

90+ degrees an hour ago...

And then gusts of wind and rain a just a little bit later.

With a thunderstorm ruining any outside plans, we decided to try Brunswick XL.

Bowling, food, and an arcade, we couldn't go wrong!

After 5 days with stitches, we headed to Dr. Nitcher's (K's Dr) office to get em out!

YAY!!

Mum, Budders and Lily,

Thank you soooooooo much for coming down to visit us.

We had so much fun bowling, watching the fireworks on 4th of July, BBQ'ing, eating homemade spaghetti and meatballs, swimming, visiting with you, family dinners EVERY NIGHT, getting Starbucks drinkie poos, shopping, and hanging out.

It truly feels like "home" when you are here.

The only part that sucks is seeing you drive away.

We love you!!!!!

Special note to Lily~

This visit has to be the best one yet!!

You were great with Kendall!  You were patient, kind, funny and loving towards your cousin, 

who obviously thinks the world of you.

Thank you for coloring with her, playing Barbies and toys, doing chalk art, riding your scooter with her,

trying foods you "think" you didn't like, watching Disney JR. ALL the time, swimming with us, going to the movies, saying prayers at night, and letting me help you in your journey as you become a little lady.  I loved brushing your hair and giving you "girlie" tips ;]

We had so much fun with you and learning what a beautiful and kind young lady you have become.

We love you LilyPad!!!!

And I am so proud of who you are inside and out!

So back to the normal routine for me and Kendall....

At least for the next 24 days =]

Our family is headed to Disneyland and we are so excited!!
Danny will get a much needed vacation, although, he's still with us... 

not sure how much relaxing he will be getting!!

We are already starting to pack and prepare (duh, of course I am) as we head to the magical kingdom

in just under 4 short weeks.

As much as I look forward to our Disneyland DREAM Vacation, it will be the end of life as I've known it here in Colorado.

On the 8th of August, Kendall will have her last swim lesson.  We've been going to swim every Thursday for almost 2 years.  It's something I've loved doing with her and watching as she progresses.  

In the winter, we'd hit up Egg & I for a nice warm breakfast with friendly, smiling faces... 

and in the Summer, it was a chance to grab those prime seats near the pool.  

It's been such a wonderful journey and it warms my heart remembering what great memories we've made.

Kendall will be starting pre-school on the 27th
(we pushed the date back because of our trip, not because I wasn't ready!! Really.).

Just 2 days a week, and for 4 hours a day.

I can count the days she's been away from me.

On two hands. Maybe one....

She's been my co-pilot on every drive and errand I've ever had here.

For 4 years, she's been within reaching distance, and I'm just gonna miss her.

Even if it's for 4 hours.

Twice a week.

So I'm extremely excited and STOKED to go to Disneyland with my little family, and

I am also making EVERY day count with my Girl and loving every minute.

We hope you have had a great summer so far...

The next time I check in, our family will ALL be a year older and wiser.

Along with better looking ;]
