Busy busy and more busy...

Seems like so much has happened in the past few months.  

So to recap, it was the beginning of March and we were prepping for our big adventure to AZ....

But before we did that, we enrolled Kendall into pre-school.

She starts up August 5th, 2 days a week, from 8-noon.

I'm sad thinking that I'm losing my sidekick, my partner in crime, my buddy, my co-pilot...

OK OK.  

I KNOW it's only twice a week!!!  

And for 4 hours.

But when she's ALL I've ever had here in CO.
For every minute, of every day.

It gets me sad.

And in the meantime,
 I'm enjoying all my days with her, cause like the last 3.5 years,
this spring and summer are going to fly by.

We had an unexpected trip to WA.
Papa Tom had gotten terribly sick and had been hospitalized for almost 10 days, when we were called to "Come Home".
We drove the 18 hours in 2 days.
Our little trooper Kendall was so good... better than expected thanks to our DVD player and her favorite DVDs, Wreck it Ralph, Tangled and Monsters, Inc.
We got to see Papa Tom that night and were able to hold his hand, talk with him a bit and blow kisses.
The rest they say, is history.
Tom made a change for the better and was soon transferred out of ICU into a regular room.
There is no medical reason for his improvement.
Prayers, love and positive thoughts maybe?!?
Probably.
We were able to stay for almost a week, and visit Papa Tom at least 1-2x a day before we had to head back to CO.
He had to do some rehab to gain strength and walk again.
And the drs are still tweaking meds and stuff.
And as of May 12th, Mother's Day when we Skyped them last,
Papa Tom was driving around their new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and enjoying life.
"Live for today, cause tomorrow may never come".

I'd like to give a big thank you to EVERYONE who sent their prayers and well wishes.

Tom is an example of how strong the power of prayer is.

We are so lucky to have you in our lives.

An added bonus to coming "home" was the opportunity to see my new, and I mean BRAND new niece, Ava Toni Kalmbach.  

Born on April 3rd, at 1:46 PM (BTW~ I guessed 1:47)

7 lbs 15 oz., 18 inches

PERFECT!!!!

Thanks to my lil Sis Lori, I was able to "feel" like I was in the room with constant photos and even videos!!!!

I got to hear that lil nugget cry!!!

I was an absolute HOT MESS and BAWLED for almost 2 hours.

She is such a blessing to our family and we are lucky to claim a new member into the 

Ya-Ya Sisterhood....

While Danny had a work trip to VA, Kendall and I partied it up (like usual)

I took her to her very first movie in a theater =]

We saw "The Croods".

LOVED IT!!!
And she did pretty good sitting and watching the movie.

We will try again this summer, this time Daddy's coming too!

Our next movie?!?! I think so.

Progress report! Yay!!

As summer approaches, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic.

I have honestly had the BEST life I could have ever imagined.

Kendall has completed the life we had imagined for ourselves.

She has made us so happy in every way possible, and in ways we didn't even know we could be happy.

She's given us the grey hairs.

A messier house.

Costs us more money than should be legal.

And has made our lives fuller and happier than she will ever know.

I love watching her face light up.

I love having dance parties with her.

Getting our Starbucks and asking her what's she getting today.

Love watching her in swim lessons.

Love her friendly personality to others.

I love her sassy attitude. Most of the time.

I love her creativity.

I love her energy and enthusiasm.

I love looking at her and seeing that Danny and I have done a pretty damn good job 

raising a well-balanced, funny, smart, empathetic and sassy girl.

She's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

I feel so lucky.

I feel so blessed.

And as I celebrated my 4th Mother's Day, 

I thought of the beautiful woman who honored us, 

by choosing Danny & I as Kendall's parents.
