Haaaaaaaaaappy New Year and Happy 2013!

I enjoy putting together the Christmas blog, but it's a bit sad to see that it's all over.

And whatta Christmas we had!

Washington never disappoints and we once again had the BEST. CHRISTMAS. EVER.

Our families are AMAZING. Our friends are the BEST.

A big thank you to everyone who rearranged and scooted around schedules so we could make every minute count. We never seem to have enough time, but we managed to see just about everybody!

As always, Xmas Eve dinner with the Cuilliers is at Chinese Gardens.

I think it's year 10 right?

It's a highlight of our trip and it's always so much fun!!

After dinner, we headed over to Michelle's beautiful new home and did the Cousin's Gift Exchange.

The house was full of family, food and gifts (as usual)

Absolutely love it!

And while we started opening presents... the Lord gave us snow and a white Christmas.

It was the perfect day.

Feel so blessed to have Papa Tom around!!

This day was filled with SNOW!

Daddy and Kendall shoveled off Gramma and Papa Green's drive and sidewalk

And like that, our visit was over.

Hmmmmph.

I'm not sure anyone else who goes "home" for the holidays and

spends time with the people they love most,

have a billion things to do,

constantly on the go,

eating at every stop,

and every face is welcoming and so glad you were there,

catching up and all the loves...

gets a Holiday Hangover like me.

I absolutely crash, and am sad that it's over.

I think it takes me about a week to recover

from not having "that" anymore.

UGH.

Christmas time always reminds me of what I "don't" have,

but on the other hand,

it helps me cherish and value every second

we are there with our most favorite people.

I romanticize the holidays

and create an image that "no family can ever live up to".

I know I do this.

No need to tell me.

I love the food, fanfare, craziness, love, insanity, the trees, the lights, the music (yes, the MUSIC) mind-blowing awesomeness of Christmas with our families.

But guess what?

Our Christmases ARE exactly what movies are made of =]

Love, food, football, smiles, surprises, food, kisses, snow, goofing around, cookies, hugs, food, laughing, food, shopping, late nights, gifts, pictures, love, family...

Another perfect Christmas in Washington.

No wonder the idea of Christmas for me, is beautiful and perfect.

Cause I have the best family and friends in the WORLD.

And I miss you every day.
