Danny & Heather & Kendall: April 2010

Hello Again!
It's almost May and I am finally getting around to updating our blog...but as you know it's been a busy crazy few months =]

On February 20, we took our first airplane ride with Kendall...a little scared and wondering how she'd do. She did FANTASTIC!! She was sooooooo awesome! We couldn't have asked her to be better! With our perfect scheduling, we fed her as soon as we got on the plane and within 15 minutes she was sound asleep. She woke up with about 30 minutes left of the flight and was fabulous...a born traveller!! Hooray!

Sooooooooo, we drove the 2 hours to Pueblo, CO from Denver to our hotel. We stayed there for about 10 days...it had worked out nice initially, but we were needing a bit more room. Danny got us into corporate housing and into a very nice downtown Colorado Springs condo. It was beautiful! Just not for new parents with a 7 month old learning to crawl =] It worked out great though being in the Springs and Auntie Holly was able to visit us a few times a week! Yay!

On March 5th, we bought a house! A brand new one at that! Kendall and I had looked at approximately 10+ houses the day before with our realtors, Tamara and Greg, and found 3 we really liked...and the next day, Danny looked at them and we all fell in love with 7860!! Hoooooooray!! And on March 31, it was all ours! Our first meal in that house was good ol Jack in the Box sitting on the floor enjoying our dream home!!

On April 9, our stuff was moved in! We had lived outta our suitcases for nearly 2 months! So it was nice to see our furniture and clothes!! Auntie Holly came over every day and helped put things away, clean and organize...what a lifesaver! We wouldn't be as far as we are without her help...thanks Auntie!! Our home is still a work in progress, but it definitely feels like "our home" now =]

Sooooooooo, our next project is our back yard!! Our front yard came landscaped, but we have to finish the back. We just got a new patio put in and we LOVE it! It's big enough for BBQs and a table and chairs...with room to spare! It's perfect!! Now we just have to get edging, rock and prep the soil for our sod....we are hoping to get that done by mid May. It's been years since I've done yard work and I'm soooooooo excited to do it! As crazy as that sounds!!
