Happy Halloween and Trick or Treating!!

We've had a busy few weeks!
Check out our pictures from the Pumpkin Patch....although we didn't get to enjoy it that much because of the darn wind!! It was like a dust bowl and we could barely see what we were doing!
We did find some relief inside the barn where Kendall was able to see ducks, a goose, chickens, llamas, goats, horses and a HUMUNGOUS pig!
We hope to go to another pumpkin patch this Friday or Saturday with Gramma and Grampa Shaw who are making a surprise visit to see us! Yay!
In the meantime, check out these cute pics from our adventure to the
Pumpkin Patch!

Even the goat was saying "cheese"!
Look at Kendall's face!! PRICELESS!!

C'mon Moooooooooooom! Hurry up!

Beautiful Girl

I like this one!

No fear....and there she goes!
Darn wind cut into our fun time on the haystacks

I'm reading Papa Green a story
Dad came down to visit us in the Springs on Friday and hung out with us for the day...we went to lunch and checked out the Halloween City Store near by. Danny was busy taking his final for his class while we were out running around.
Later that night we all went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, then came back to the house and hung out. Papa Green stayed the night with us and had a SLUMBER PARTY!!

DENVER ROCK & ROLL
MARATHON & 1/2
So, on October 17, 2010
Danny and I completed our first 1/2 Marathon in Denver!!
It was AWESOME!! AWESOME!!
Danny finished in 1 hour, 58 minutes and 36 seconds
(9.03 minute mile)
I finished 3 hours, 1 minute 43 seconds
(13.45 minute mile)
Not bad for a couple rookies, but definitely have room to improve when we do our next one!!
We will for sure do the Denver Rock & Roll 1/2 Marathon next year!!
We drove to Denver on Saturday so we could check in and get settled in...
Checking into our hotel in downtown Denver
Kendall checking out the place....
Walking to the expo to check in and get our stuff!!
Getting so nervous and excited!
Walking down 16th St. in downtown Denver
Walking around and taking pics at the expo
Goofing around our hotel and letting Kendall get
her "run" in!
Our race gear

Both finished under 3 hours!! Hooray!!
The Rookies =]

Check out our bling =]

Papa Green did a great job with Kendall....
got her up and dressed and fed her breakfast before heading down to the Family Festival and waiting for us to finish! He didn't have to wait to long, because Danny was done about 10 minutes after they arrived! Yay for Pops and Kendall!!
Thanks for cheering us on!
To begin is the most important part of any quest,
and by far the most courageous.

Happy Fall & Halloween Time!

Can't believe it'll be Kendall's 2nd Halloween... How time flies!

Danny and I have been training for the Denver 1/2 Marathon that is on October 17, 2010. I have been training since mid July, and Danny has fit it in when he isn't doing homework or working =] Dad and Linda will be arriving in town on Thursday, since Linda will be doing it too! Dad will be watching Kendall while we run/walk our butts off that morning! It's going to be an amazing thing when we cross that finish line!

Holly's PE Department hosted the tailgate party this past Saturday when the Colorado State Rams (Danny's school) visited the Air Force Falcons. This was our second AF game and it was another perfect day! We also had seats 10 rows up from the 5 yard line which made it fun for Kendall too...although she fell asleep half way into the 1st quarter =] We did enjoy watching several touchdowns and a blocked punt in our end zone!! The Falcons are ranked #23 in the nation!! Pretty amazing....we won't mention how the WSU Cougars are doing. We are going to attend another game on October 30th when the Utah Utes come and visit the Falcons!

Danny continues to plug away at his Master's Degree. He scored an A on his last test! But anything else would be disappointing for him, of course! He will be finished and will graduate from Colorado State University on May 13, 2011. What a GREAT day that'll be!! He has worked so hard!! Many sacrifices have been made so that he could achieve this, and we are so proud of him. He's AMAZING!!

Let the countdown begin!!

The nights here are getting cooler and we are enjoying our first Fall in Colorado.
We will be posting more October pictures once we have visited the pumpkin patch!

Kendall has learned some sign language...this is her sign for
"all done"
She also can sign:
"more"
"please"
and she's learning:
"thank you"
"mommy"
"daddy"
"kitty"
BFFs

Reading with Daddy...some of her favorite books are
Brown Bear Brown Bear and First Words by Baby Einstein

"Get me outta here!"

Forget toys, she likes rocks and dirt

When I ask Kendall to "come here"....
...this is what she does =] Little Naughty!!

Here she comes though, to show me one of her rocks

Look at that beautiful face =]

********
Kendall's 2010 Halloween Costume!!
She's our Lil Stinker!!
After searching high and low for a couple weeks and not finding anything that I liked,
we went online and found this Tom Arma costume on HalloweenExpress.com.
Funny cause both Danny and I picked this one out of the hundreds of great costumes!

Diva does not like her new costume...hahahahahahaha!

trick or treeeeeeat!!
Can't wait to check out the pumpkin patch and take some more great pictures!!
Hope you are enjoying the beautiful month of October!!
