 WHATTA YEAR!!
2014 you have not disappointed!!
AAAaAAAaaaaAaAAAAaaaaAaaaHH!!
It's been 4 day since we won the Super Bowl, and I'm STILL FRICKIN EXCITED.
And thinking about our Super Bowl Weekend in WA, makes me smile from ear to ear.

Whatta journey!!
I've only been on this journey for 10 years.
For Danny, it's been his whole life... and for Danny's folks, 38 years.
Tom was actually a Raider fan, until Seattle got their team.
WOW.
A world without the Seattle Seahawks?
Pretty weird, I know.

I was adopted by the Seahawks in 2003, when I started dating Danny.
I always loved football (thanks Mum) and really liked players and several teams.
My first football team that I remember liking was the Eagles...
Who didn't love Randall Cunningham and his crazy running style?!?!?
I also liked Walter Payton.
Barry Sanders.
I do remember not liking the Broncos.
Because of Elway.
I actually don't mind them so much now... But I digress.

I still like the Eagles.  Kinda like an ex-boyfriend.
We broke up on good terms and I still wish them the best.
But hey...
I got hooked and fell in love with a team called the Seattle Seahawks.
We've been together ever since.

Kendall has always been a fan... since birth.
See?

She's gonna love them like her Daddy and her Papa Tom.

What's crazy is that Danny knew this year was gonna be special.
He liked our players, and we've grown to love our crazy wild player's coach.
This season was like we've never seen!!!!
WE.
WERE.
THAT.
GOOD.
Every weekend we were ready to go!!
Food.  Drinks.  Pom poms.  Gear.
WOW.
It's crazy to look back on it.
Who knew where we'd be sitting right now?
Oh that's right.... Danny had a feeling.

He said,
"If the Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl,
I wanna see this team in person.
I'd hate to not go and see this team play".

Yeah.  I know right?!?!
So.
We went to watch them in Arizona with our friends
Brian & Michelle and Eric & Terri.

We are kinda a big deal.

The Seahawks send off to NYNJ...
WOW.

I know, I know.
I've said this a million cazillion times.
God makes plans.
Sometimes we know the path that He sets us on,
and sometimes we don't.
This was one of those rare occurrences where we KNEW what His plan was for us.

Ok.  Let me do a bit of back story...
Tom (Danny's Dad) has been battling an aggressive form of cancer since October 2012.
He's also battled and BEAT:
blood clots in his lungs, pneumonia, cardiac arrests (more times than I can count),
triple bypass surgery, stents, and came back from a terminal diagnosis
that brought us to WA in April of 2013.
Yeah.
He beat a doctor's "terminal" diagnosis.
Thanks be to God and the THOUSANDS of prayers
that gave us "more time" with him.

So, back to that damn cancer.

Radiation helped.
And chemo was helping fight that damn cancer too.
But Tom's body, especially his fragile heart, weren't able to keep up with his weekly chemo.
So, his last treatment of chemo was December 31st.
Heavy heavy hearts.
Sadness.
Feeling of helplessness.
Mad.
Pissed.
Unfair.
Just a few words that come to mind.

 So....
Without much hesitation,
we booked tickets to WA to watch the Super Bowl with Tom & Rale.
When we bought the tickets, we KNEW we would be watching
the Seahawks win their first ever Super Bowl.
Crazy huh?

Time is precious and we know that.
We enjoyed every minute of our Super Bowl Weekend....
Eating at Famous Dave's.
Coffee and breakfast in the morning.
Watching NFL Network and ESPN, when we weren't watching the Disney Channel.
Sharing memories.
Laughing.
Spaghetti feed with the Family.
Cheering.
Crying a little too.
But filled with so much fun and great memories.
Here are a few we caught on my phone =]

Belgium Pub inside Denver Airport =]

I don't think we are in Colorado anymore...

 Kendall's new gear!!

Got in a quick visit with the nieces and sisters!!

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!!!!

Thanks God for letting us be together last weekend.
Thanks for allowing us to watch the Seahawks win their first Super Bowl.
We will cherish those moments for the rest of our lives.
It's a part of our family.
We are just so THANKFUL.
Words will never describe how we felt being
with you all on that special special day.

Tom,
Danny & I know that the Seahawks won the Super Bowl
for you.
So glad we were able to sit beside you, and cheer and scream and go frickin nuts
