summer is coming to an end...
and fall is almost here!
our family has had quite the adventure since we last blogged! so much to do and so many different places we have gone to and seen =]
we've had visitors, we've taken road trips and some of us got a year older!
i can look back on the past couple months and see all around us how blessed we are. what a great circle of friends and family we have! God blessed us beyond words!
we hope that you have had a great summer too!

so after years of talking about it, we finally got our GIRLS WEEKEND!!
i picked my BFFs up at the Denver Airport and we headed to Breckenridge, CO...a ski resort town in the mountains.

even after 3 days, i still feel like we could've hung out and talked for another week! so much to catch up on and chat about, and 3 days didn't cut it.

you have been an ear when I needed to talk, a counselor when I needed help, and a friend when i needed to vent. I can only wish that Kendall will have friends like mine who make life just that much better.

after a weekend off, yes, the Labor Day weekend, my Pops flew into town!!
we enjoyed an AF volleyball game, the AF vs TCU football game, playing in the backyard, and some yummy meals =]
kendall helped Papa "exercise" too, since he is recovering from shoulder surgery.
we were so lucky to have Papa spend the week with us!!
even things such a chores were so much better with you here!! miss you so much Dad!!

oct 9th i'm running in my second 1/2 marathon =]
gulp. that's 13.1 miles for those who don't know. 13.1 yes. 13.1 miles.
i'm running the Denver 1/2 marathon again while danny and kendall cheer me on!
oct 20 we will be meeting gramma & papa cuillier in LAS VEGAS!!
Yay!!
due to the elevation here in colorado springs (6000-6800+ feet above sea level)
papa tom's doctors tell him it's too rough for his heart...
since he can't come to us, we are meeting him and gramma in Vegas ;]
sure papa....twist our arm to go to Vegas. can't wait to see you!!

God called on a special lady to join him on august 11th...
my auntie rose lost her battle with cancer.
not all of you know her but she was a pretty fantastic lady.
she had cared for my grandparents for as long as i can remember.
she played volleyball and took holly and i when we were younger to a base where we practiced with her.
she sent me hawaiian calendars EVERY year...and sent me birthday cards every year until i turned 30 =]
she was the kinda lady who you would want on your team, and having your back.
whenever we saw her whether it be on vacation, a graduation, etc., she would pull me aside and ask me how i was. i really loved how she checked on me no matter how old i was =] she was a great listener too. i wish i would have appreciated her advice, her gentle yet strong approach when i was younger as i do now, looking back.
the world lost a strong beautiful lady, but heaven sure did gain an angel.
love you and miss you auntie rose!
